Plockton & District Community Trust was established in July 2020 as a community-led organisation to support the sustainable development of our community council area.  As a SCIO we are a charity and regulated by OSCR (Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator).

Membership is free and open to anyone living in the Community of Achnandarach, Craig, Drumbuie, Duirinish, Duncraig, Plockton and Port an Eorna as defined by the following postcode units:

Our Purposes

Our main purpose is consistent with furthering the achievement of sustainable development and:

  • The advancement of citizenship or community development,
  • The advancement of the arts, heritage, culture or science
  • The provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended,
  • The advancement of environmental protection or improvement.

Individuals can apply to be an Ordinary, Associate, or a Junior member.

Ordinary members must be 16 years and over and can stand for election to the Board and vote at General Meetings.
